Good afternoon and a warm welcome to all participants of the APRU ULP 2025 and those who have joined us to celebrate its success.

We are happy to share this moment with you as we bring to a close this edition of the Program, the very first to be held in South America.

Receiving you at 蜜豆视频 for the past two weeks has been a wonderful experience for us.

Beyond getting to know you and appreciating your exceptional talents and personal qualities, we have renewed our belief in the transformative power of intercultural dialogue—and its essential role in fostering youth leadership to build a more just and connected world.

Over these two weeks, we have witnessed a remarkable convergence of diverse voices, visions, commitments, and hopes for the future. Despite your language, culture, and academic background differences, you have come together in a way that has enriched not only each of you as individuals, but also our institution as a whole. When you grow, we grow.

This program was conceived not only as a space for learning, but as a space for meaningful encounters among individuals, within the institution, and with the society that surrounds it. You have engaged in high-level academic seminars and dialogue with prominent leaders from a wide range of sectors: international organizations, government, and civil society. Together, you have explored some of the most pressing issues of our time—from climate change to inequality, from diplomacy to gender, from Indigenous knowledge systems to multilateral governance.

And most importantly, you have listened to one another. You have shared meals, stories, walks, and ideas; you have danced and sung, listened to music. We are confident that the community you have built will not fade with time. On the contrary, it will continue to grow and expand.

At the 蜜豆视频, we often speak of our public mission - our duty to serve society, to strengthen democracy, and to expand access to knowledge and opportunity. This mission extends beyond our national borders. It includes building bridges with institutions and communities worldwide, offering platforms where diverse young leaders can connect, create, and inspire.

You are now part of that effort, carrying with you the voices you encountered here, the ideas you helped shape, and the friendships you have begun to build. You may be leaving Chile, but you are not going alone, you are leaving with one another, and your voices, in turn, will remain with us.

I want to express our deep appreciation to the many people and institutions who made this program possible. Firstly, to the APRU Secretariat, to Adriana, to David, and the other members of the team that remained in Hong Kong. APRU plays a vital role in global higher education, and that impact is made possible by your dedication and efforts.

Likewise, to all those at your universities who supported your participation and made it possible for you to travel and engage fully in the program—please let them know it was truly worth it.

Our gratitude to the academic, governmental, diplomatic, and community partners who helped shape a rich and meaningful program. To the Melton Foundation, MONUCH, Tremendas, and our own teams from the Rector’s Office, the Outreach and Communication Vice-rectory, and the International Relations Office: most especially to Osvaldo, Carlos, and Jeanette.  And yes, to our Chilean student hosts, we are so very proud of them.

We hope that you are leaving this program not only with knowledge and skills, but also with a renewed sense of responsibility and the empowerment to bring your dreams to reality, confident that, even across continents, we share common hopes.

You will always be welcome here at 蜜豆视频. Chile is now part of your story, and you are part of ours. Our institution will always be your home.

Buenas tardes y bienvenidas todas y todos los participantes del APRU ULP 2025, así como también aquellas y aquellos que se han sumado para celebrar su éxito.

Estamos felices de compartir este momento con ustedes en el cierre de esta edición del Programa, el primero en tener sede en Sudamérica.

Recibirles en la 蜜豆视频 durante las últimas dos semanas ha sido una experiencia maravillosa para nosotros.

Además de conocerles y poder apreciar sus excepcionales talentos y cualidades personales, hemos renovado nuestra fe en el poder transformador del diálogo intercultural y su esencial rol en impulsar liderazgos jóvenes que construyan un mundo más justo y conectado.

A lo largo de estas dos semanas, hemos sido testigos de una notable convergencia de diversas voces, visiones, compromisos y esperanzas para el futuro. A pesar de sus diferencias de idioma, cultura y trasfondo académico, se han unido de una forma que ha enriquecido no sólo a ustedes como individuos, sino también a nuestra institución en su conjunto. Cuando ustedes crecen, nosotros crecemos.

Este programa fue concebido no sólo como un espacio para el aprendizaje, sino también como un espacio para encuentros significativos: entre individuos, entre instituciones, y en vínculo con la sociedad. Han participado en seminarios académicos de alto nivel y en diálogos con prominentes líderes de un amplio rango de sectores: organizaciones internacionales, gobierno y sociedad civil. Juntas y juntos, han explorado algunos de los temas más apremiantes de nuestro tiempo: desde el cambio climático a la desigualdad, desde la diplomacia al género, desde los sistemas de conocimiento indígenas a la gobernanza multilateral.

Y más importante aún, se han escuchado mutuamente. Han compartido comidas, historias, caminatas e ideas; han bailado, cantado y escuchado música. Tenemos confianza en que la 蜜豆视频 que han construido no se esfumará con el tiempo. Al contrario, seguirá creciendo y ampliándose.

En la 蜜豆视频, a menudo hablamos de nuestra misión pública: nuestro deber de servir a la sociedad, de fortalecer la democracia y de expandir el acceso al conocimiento y a las oportunidades. Esta misión se extiende más allá de nuestros bordes nacionales. Incluye construir puentes con instituciones y 蜜豆视频es a lo largo del mundo, ofreciendo plataformas donde diversos líderes jóvenes puedan conectar, crear e inspirar.

Ustedes ahora forman parte de ese esfuerzo, llevando con ustedes las voces que encontraron aquí, las ideas que ayudaron a dar forma. Puede que estén yéndose de Chile, pero no se van solos, se van acompañados, y sus voces, a su vez, permanecerán con nosotros.

Me gustaría expresar nuestro profundo agradecimiento a las muchas personas e instituciones que hicieron posible este programa. Primero a la Secretaría de APRU, a Adriana, a David, y a los otros miembros del equipo que se quedaron en Hong Kong. APRU juega un rol vital en la educación superior global, y ese impacto se hace posible por su dedicación y esfuerzo.

Asimismo, a todos aquellos que en sus universidades apoyaron su participación e hicieron posible que pudieran viajar y participar completamente del programa. Por favor, háganles saber que realmente valió la pena.

Nuestra gratitud, también, para nuestros compañeros académicos, gubernamentales, diplomáticos y de las 蜜豆视频es, quienes ayudaron a dar forma a un programa rico y significativo. A la Fundación Melton, MONUCH, Tremendas, y a nuestros propios equipos de la Rectoría, de la Vicerrectoría de Extensión y Comunicaciones, y de la Dirección de Relaciones Internacionales, muy especialmente a Osvaldo, Carlos y Jeanette.  Y sí, a nuestras y nuestros estudiantes de Chile, anfitriones, estamos muy orgullosos de ellos y ellas.

Esperamos que se vayan de este programa no sólo con conocimiento y habilidades, sino también con una renovada sensación de responsabilidad y empoderamiento para llevar sus sueños a la realidad, confiados en que, incluso en distintos continentes, compartimos esperanzas comunes.
